About me
Since I can remember, music has been the pinnacle of my existence. Starting my first band at 4 years old after discovering the magic of Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. We called ourselves Piggydoodar for unexplainable reasons, but due to our cuteness and best efforts, we landed radio time and even a 5-minute slot on BBC Midlands Today. By the age of 10, we had played multiple shows and even music festivals.
Music is the only subject that rattles through my brain constantly, which, admittedly, made me an awful student at school. Because of this, I knew I needed to be somewhere that could facilitate my music obsession. Luckily, I was accepted at Birmingham Ormiston Academy, where I just about got my GCSE’s and secured a Distinction* for my Music Btech.
Just playing instruments was not enough to satisfy my need for music creation, so I went to BIMM Birmingham to study music production. This is where I also formed my band ‘With Symapthy’. While I was there, I was privileged to work with a lot of great artists and connect with the music scene. Playing in front of Sharon Osbourne was a highlight among many others.
At the same time as this I secured a job as a music festival sparky and stagehand. This taught me a lot about handling people, stress and working very long hours in the pouring rain with little food and physically demanding tasks. And I loved it! In fact, I loved it so much that I started doing more corporate events after festival season.
I’m now a full-time Primary school music teacher with Rocksteady! I love sharing my knowledge with the new generation of rockstars and helping them gain the confidence to perform. However, I still want to help emerging and established artists take that next step with their sound! That’s why I’ve set up this studio to continue making records and expand the limits of sound!
